Termux For PC | How To Install Termux In Windows

install Termux in pc

Termux is an android application that creates a Linux environment in android devices. In any case, if you want to install Termux on your Windows PC but don’t know how, in this blog post, I’ll share two ways to install Termux on your PC.

The first way is to install an android emulator like BlueStacks or Andy on your PC and then Install Termux in that android emulator. In this way, whenever you have to run Termux, you need to run Android Emulator, and then from that android emulator, you need to run Termux.

In a second way, we are not going to install an android emulator. Instead, we will enable a feature called Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) on your PC. This feature will run a full Linux environment rather than a lightweight Linux environment that Termux offers.

Honestly, I prefer the second way. Because with the help of WSL, I can do many more things that I can’t do in Termux. Also, installing an android emulator and running it can consume so much memory. So if you have a PC with low specs, this method will most likely reduce your PC’s performance. WSL, on the other hand, will not lag even though your PC specs are low. It will run buttery smooth. It is also more powerful than Termux.

The Linux distro you’ll install will be a base image of the Linux distro, with very few tools and no Graphical User Interface (GUI). However, you can install any package or tool through the shell.
